Los Angeles wildfires: Trump blames Biden |
President-elect
Donald Trump has blamed outgoing US President Joe Biden and California
Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom for the Los Angeles wildfires. ABC Newsreports.
Trump also said, ‘The terrible fires in Los Angeles are saying that there is no more time to wait for January 20.’ Incidentally, he will officially take over the White House from Joe Biden on this day.
He wrote,
"Let this be a symbol of the Biden-Newscomb duo's utter incompetence and
mismanagement," said Donald Trump.
On Thursday (January 9), the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) said that 783 inmates have been released to help fight the fire due to strong winds and dry weather. They are working with about 2,000 firefighters from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire) to fight the fire.
On the other
hand, all schools in Los Angeles were closed on Friday (January 10). Schools
will remain closed on Saturday (January 11). Area Superintendent Alberto M.
Carvalho said that students will continue to have classes using digital
technology. He said the authorities will take the next decision after reviewing
the air quality.
